Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

The Office of AJ Bass is AJ Bass’s independent news and opinion project. This policy explains how information is handled through this website, its contact forms, and optional text-message replies.

Information we collect

We collect details you submit, such as your name, email address, optional phone number, message, and any information provided on volunteer or other forms. If you choose SMS replies, we also collect your consent choice. Website hosting and embedded services may process technical information such as IP address, browser, device information, and pages visited. Please do not submit passwords, payment details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through our contact form.

How we use information

We use submitted information to respond to inquiries, handle requests and volunteer interest, maintain the website, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Opting into replies about a contact request does not subscribe you to marketing texts or a newsletter. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and sharing

Information may be processed by providers supporting website hosting, form delivery, email, and text messaging. Contact submissions are delivered through Framer and email services. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or safety. Mobile information and SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Providers may process this information only as needed to support our communications or as required by law.

Optional SMS replies

If you check the optional SMS consent box and provide your number, you authorize The Office of AJ Bass to text you about your contact request. Consent is not required to submit the form. Message frequency varies with the conversation; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to withdraw SMS consent or HELP for assistance. You may also request help or opt out by emailing community.relations@office.ajbass.com. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation, but no further texts unless you opt in again or a message is permitted or required by law.

Retention and security

Contact details, correspondence, and consent records are retained as reasonably needed to respond to requests, manage communications, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Consent and opt-out records may need to be retained after a conversation ends. No website, email system, or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Avoid sending confidential material through ordinary contact forms.

Embedded content, cookies, and external services

This website includes or links to third-party content, including Substack and Supascribe. Those services may receive technical information or use cookies and similar technologies when their content loads or you interact with it. Their own privacy policies apply to their independent processing, subscriptions, and accounts. Browser settings may allow you to restrict cookies, although some features may not work. This policy itself does not provide a cookie-consent control.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may decline optional fields, leave SMS consent unchecked, unsubscribe from a newsletter through its provider, or contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided. Depending on your location and applicable law, additional rights may apply. We may need to verify a request and retain records where legally permitted or required. Contact community.relations@office.ajbass.com to make a request. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Updates and contact

We may revise this policy as the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions, SMS help, or data requests, email community.relations@office.ajbass.com.
